| Berlin: 1890. The globe is in good condition for its age, rare 35 cm diameter globe, originally with two compasses, only one is present. The globe shows railroads, German and other steamshiproads, moutains, rivers, deserts, tundra, ocean currents, height and depth in meters, states of the US etc. The terrestrial globe in the Schmidt-collection shows similarities with globes published by the company Gracklauer in Leipzig. Otherwise not much is known about this manufacture. |
